The Drago GT+ builds on the Drago features that have revolutionized harvests for decades: Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates, longer knife rollers, ear shocks and more. Now, with more industry firsts and advancements than any other brand, Drago is the standard by which all other corn heads are measured, set by world-class manufacturer Olimac.
Dustin Bollig, farmer and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Dragotec USA says:
“For more than 70 years, Olimac has been transforming corn harvest, engineering corn head innovations that have left competitors struggling to keep up. The new GT+ corn head takes harvest efficiency, yield capture and durability to the next level.”
Every feature and component of the Drago GT+ is designed for today’s landscape, including ever-changing plant genetics and agronomic practices that dramatically impact the technologies required for efficient harvest. Olimac is dedicated to designing and producing the best-performing, most reliable corn head in the industry all through deep research and continuous innovation with direction for the U.S. market from the Dragotec team in Fenton, Iowa.
Kernel Capture Technology™: Zero Effort, High Returns, Field Proven
The Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates and QuadSuspension™ deck plate shocks on every Drago GT and Drago GT+ corn head unite to remove human error and natural stalk variance from the equation on the way to your maximum ROI. From the stalk-grabbing ability of its overlapping gathering chains to the efficient movement of corn along its massive auger, the Drago GT+ corn head offers a holistic approach for capturing more yield.
The heart of this system lies just within the point of stalk entry — where corn meets machine. It’s here where Olimac revolutionized harvest technology with Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates and QuadSuspension™ ear shocks, combining to introduce Kernel Capture Technology. Year after year, Drago performance is field proven and data confirmed, with features that work harder for every grower.
QuadSuspension™ Deck Plate Shocks
Knife rollers move at an exceptional speed to pull down stalks, creating a violent ear-to-plate impact that can cause yield loss through ear bounce and butt-shelling. The GT+ is equipped with QuadSuspension™ — integrated “ear shocks” under deck plates — to absorb ear impact and mitigate that loss. QuadSuspension™ on the GT+ has been upgraded with the addition of an impact-dampener ring to improve performance and reliability.
Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates
While Drago operators have seen the benefits of Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates for decades, competitors are only recently beginning to acknowledge their importance in capturing more harvestable yield. The deck plates on every Drago GT and Drago GT+ corn head adjust independently and mechanically to varying stalk widths, across every row, greatly limiting kernel loss compared to hydraulic plates. The spring mechanism in the GT+ has been improved to enhance plate movement and simplify maintenance.
Dynamic Delivery and Enhanced Crop Flow
With 60% of harvest yield loss occurring at the corn head, the Drago GT+ Dynamic Delivery System is purposefully designed to prevent ears bouncing off deck plates, butt-shelling at pulldown, and kernels or small ears falling through deck plate gaps.
Redesigned Poly and Reimagined Bonnet Design
The poly on the GT+ has been completely redesigned to handle the harshest conditions by greatly enhancing crop flow for increased capacity. The bonnets are rounded, and their height over the row unit descends from front to back, continuously moving crop to the auger. The rear of the bonnets is closer to the cross auger to reduce build-up, and integrated ear sweeps improve ear capture. The smart mold technology includes integrated kernel barriers to direct any shelled corn back and prevent them from slipping through gaps.

Upgraded Massive Auger
The GT+ features a massive cross auger with deeper flighting to increase crop flow, handle more trash and keep you harvesting through tough conditions. With a 28-inch-pitch fin and a 6-inch center tube, the 20-inch diameter auger moves corn faster, yet more gently.
Profile Angle and Gathering Chains
Like the Drago GT, the Drago GT+ features a working angle of 17-23 degrees to capture down corn with ease. Snouts can slip through stalks, reduce ear loss out front, and allow ears to easily move up the row unit.
Gathering chain design also plays a significant role in variable harvest conditions. Chains on the GT+ angle apart – front to back – so stalk tops are not broken off before being pulled down, ensuring excessive trash doesn’t enter the combine. New large, greaseless idler sprockets are also placed further out front and ahead of knife rollers compared to traditional corn head brands, allowing gathering chain fingers to overlap at the front to grab stalks for processing. The notably aggressive gathering chain design is crucial for picking up corn in tough conditions.
Efficient Feederhouse Delivery
The Drago GT+ corn head is compatible with every combine brand. It will attach with the same — or even less — clearance between the auger and feederhouse for excellent feeding to the combine.
New Standard Offerings
Short down corn augers and HeadSight header height control were available options on Drago heads, but now are standard with every GT+. HeadSight, the leading header height control technology is a perfect complement to Drago’s other innovative features for maximum yield, better snout protection and care-free harvest efficiency. Short down corn augers will now always be available when operators encounter the inevitable lodged corn situations.
Dependability at Its Best
While performance in the field is a huge plus, the best corn head is only as impressive as its ability to hold up through every season, condition and harvest. That’s why every GT+ part and gear are cut and milled within the most advanced and automated plant of its kind. From laser-applied tungsten on knife rollers to industry-first spiral-cut gears, every GT+ feature is engineered with exceptional lasting power.
Industry-First Spiral-Cut Gears
The Drago GT+ is made with a sharp focus and sizable investment on spiral-cut gears that parallels the aviation and auto industries’ needs for higher-performing, more reliable power transmission. Spiral gears always have two teeth engaged, versus straight gears which have only one. This enables a smoother transfer of power at 90 degrees, adding tremendous life to the gears.
Precise Clutch Technology™
Olimac is the first corn head brand to integrate dedicated radial slip clutches for each of three major components within each row unit, including gathering chain drives, knife rollers and chopper gearboxes. Other corn head brands use a “one-clutch-fits-all” approach, with one clutch set for the highest load and leaving other components unprotected. GT+ radial slip clutches are completely sealed from external elements, bathed in oil and deliver significantly better protection.
Endura Drive™
Endura Drive is the first chainless design available in all corn head sizes. Gears transfer more power from the combine to the row unit with drive line shock absorption — a simple, durable and improved transfer of power for enhanced efficiency.
Options and Accessories to Fit Your Harvest Needs
Drago knows no two growers – or acres – are alike. That’s why the Drago GT+ is built to lead with efficiency no matter your harvest and field conditions, geography and overall goals. To meet the agronomic needs of your farm, choose from a variety of options and accessories to accommodate any cropping system, every tillage practice and every harvest situation.
Field-to-Field or Farm-to-Farm
Folding GT+ corn heads feature an upgraded folding bonnet and flex coupler for worry-free operation. Available on 8-row models and wider, the folding option saves time and simplifies transportation at harvest. The folding process is fast, safe and easy. Just hit the switch and watch it fold. Drago’s exclusive technology automatically self-times the cross augers and tow shafts. Unlike competitor corn heads, the folding bonnet and drive couplers mechanically self-align and self-center to ensure precise, synchronized folding every time.

Color Options to Complement Your Combine
The Drago GT+ corn head is available in one of three poly color options that match or complement the colors of popular combine brands. The GT+ poly comes standard in black, a neutral color fit for any combine, which can help improve resale value when it’s time to upgrade. It is also available to order in green or red.
Single Chop or Twin Chop Options
The Drago GT+ corn head offers a variety of chopping options to give growers with different needs a choice in how they manage corn residue. The Twin Chop option provides exceptional sizing, and the Single Chop can be turned off or on when production practices dictate a need for different management. Chopper knives have a laser-applied, hardened tungsten edge for longer wear and can be easily reversed to extend their life.
