THE HEART OF KERNEL CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY™
NO OTHER CORN HEAD IN THE FIELD IS
ENGINEERED TO CAPTURE MORE YIELD

AUTOMATIC SELF-ADJUSTING DECK PLATES

Low-maintenance, spring-loaded deck plate pistons constantly apply pressure to incoming stalks, automatically minimizing plate gap where yield loss can be significant.

INDEPENDENT ROW UNITS

Deck plate gaps, both in-row and row-to-row, are determined by the size of stalks running through them, compared to hydraulic systems that set the same plate gap for every row unit.

ANGLED CHAIN DESIGN

Gathering chains angle apart — front to back — to release stalks and avoid excessive trash from entering the combine.

POLY CHAIN GUIDES

Each gathering chain has five poly chain guides that extend the life of the chain and are reversible after one side has worn.

OVERLAPPING GATHERING CHAINS

Oversized idler sprockets, which reduce chain wear, are forward-placed, allowing overlapping chain fingers to grab and capture stalks for processing — a highly valued feature when harvesting downed corn.

Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates

Every 1/8” misadjustment gap between the stalks and deck plates accounts for up to four bushels lost per acre. And considering today’s higher plant populations, the increasing amount of plant material corn heads process and corn hybrids that dry down in the field and cause more butt-shelling, the potential yield loss steadily increases, too. On every farm, at every harvest, the Drago Automatic Self-Adjusting Deck Plates prove their value in capturing the corn you’ve grown.

QuadSuspension Deck Plate Shocks

The exceptional speed at which knife rollers work to pull down stalks, today, results in a violent ear impact on plates. To mitigate this impact, the Drago GT introduced yet another industry first — QuadSuspension™ — integrated, impact-absorbing “ear shocks” that can significantly reduce butt-shelling and the resulting yield loss.

THE HEART OF KERNEL CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY™:
THE LONGER THE KNIFE ROLLER, THE BETTER.
The industry’s longest knife rollers combine with a smaller diameter for added plant processing time. The extra time means roller tips can run slower, resulting in less ear bounce – less ear loss – without having to reduce combine speed. No other knife roller measures up to the performance of a Drago knife roller.
LONGER KNIFE ROLLERS
At 22.5 inches, the Drago GT features the longest knife rollers in the industry.
Slower Tip Speed
Having the longest knife roller with a smaller diameter reduces tip speed for less ear bounce, greater ear retention and reduced butt-shelling.
Reducing Ear Loss
A knife-to-knife design pinches, pulls and opens up — allowing plants to move farther back into the corn head before the ear is removed.

Nose Cone Bearings

Drago not only supports its knife rollers out front, but has two bearings and a grease bank built right into the nose cone itself. A dirt barrier is milled in to protect seals and bearings when tips are closer to the soil, as in down-corn situations.

Knife Roller Supports

Drago builds bracket supports to keep knife rollers from spreading and breaking.

THE HEART OF KERNEL CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY™:
A DYNAMIC DELIVERY SYSTEM DESIGNED
TO CAPTURE EVERY KERNEL.
Most yield-loss today occurs at the corn head rather than the combine behind it — ears bouncing off bonnets, butt-shelling at pull-down, kernels lost through deck plates — everything and more the Drago GT Dynamic Delivery System works to prevent.
INDUSTRY'S LARGEST AUGER
The Drago GT’s 20-inch diameter auger and its 28-inch pitch fin moves more corn faster, yet more gently. It also handles more trash to help keep you harvesting through tough conditions.

28" PITCH

Lowest Profile Angle

The Drago GT corn head features a working angle of 17-23 degrees — the flattest in the industry. The low angle allows ears to move up the row unit with ease and reduce ear loss out the front. This lower working angle allows the Drago GT to work through down corn more efficiently, too.

Aggressive Overlapping Chains

Large idler sprockets are placed in front of the knife rollers, allowing chain fingers to overlap in the front — where they can grab and capture stalks. This aggressive overlapping chain design is vital in picking up corn in less-than-perfect conditions.

Angled Separation for Less Trash

Drago’s gathering chains angle apart – front to back – so stalk tops are not broken off before being pulled down and avoids excessive trash from entering the combine.

Spring-Loaded Snout- Pressure

This feature allows you to apply and adjust down-pressure to your snouts, keeping your points under corn — especially in down-corn.

Less Backfeed Loss

The Drago GT’s large auger tube is designed to limit combine backfeed and potential yield loss — limiting the potential loss of ears thrown back through the feederhouse.

Micro-Adjustable Snouts

Wrench-free knobs for both snout angle and spring pressure adjustments offer quick and easy micro-adjustments when you need it.

Efficient Delivery to the Feederhouse

The Drago GT corn head is compatible with every major combine brand. It will attach with the same — or even less — clearance with close auger-to- feederhouse clearance for excellent feeding to combine.

Durable Ground- Hugging Tips

Stronger, more durable points add longer life. A sharper tip has a longer surface area and is designed for better wear and picking up down-corn stalks.

BUILT TO WORK. MADE TO LAST.
PERFORMANCE AND DURABLE DESIGN.
When you build a corn head for harvest efficiency, you also know the importance of a timely harvest. We know there is never a good time for a corn head not to perform, which is why Drago corn heads are engineered for harvest dependability.
Endura Drive™
Endura Drive™ is the first chainless design in all corn head sizes. Gears transfer more power from the combine to the row unit for maximum efficiency — a simple, durable and efficient delivery of power.
Inline Power
Endura Drive™ design allows power to be driven inline through the row units, eliminating two gears per row vs. the competition, for higher efficiency. Drive shafts are connected with removable self-engaging couplers if a single row unit repair is ever needed.
Auger Drive
As part of the Endura Drive™ system, the Drago GT gear-driven auger minimizes maintenance and keeps the auger-drive clean and free of debris. This is the industry’s first chainless-drive available for every row configuration.

Independent Component Protection
Each major component of the Drago GT is protected from field hazards, from our gear-driven auger to the Precise Clutch Technology™ protecting knife rollers, gathering chain drives and choppers. This Drago design delivers maximum protection to equipment and added peace of mind to the operators.
PRECISE CLUTCH TECHNOLOGY™
Olimac is the first to integrate a radial slip clutch design with four different operations, internally, within the row unit. Other corn head brands use a “one-clutch-fits-all” approach with one setting for the highest load on the row unit and leaving other components unprotected. In the Drago GT, each clutch has its own precise setting for both gathering chain drives, knife rollers and chopper gearbox – completely sealed from external elements, bathed in oil, and delivering significantly better protection.
INDUSTRY-FIRST SPIRAL-CUT GEARS
Olimac’s investment in spiral gear cutting produces a quieter and higher performing power transmission, which is used heavily in the aviation and automotive industry. Spiral gears always have two teeth engaged vs. straight gears which have only one, making spiral the most efficient way to transmit power 90 degrees and add tremendous life to the gears.

Bonnet Lift

After the T-handle is pulled, a gas strut lifts and holds the bonnet and snout up and out of the way for easier access.

Seize-Free Tensioner

Drago’s gathering chain tensioner can be greased, which acts as a filler and seals out dirt and debris. Allowing the tensioner to work freely all season long increases the life of the gathering chain. It can be easily removed with four bolts.

YIELD FIRST CHOPPING
NO OTHER CORN HEAD PROVIDES MORE
FLEXIBLE CHOPPING OPTIONS.
Twin Chop+ Provides Exceptional Sizing
The Drago GT’s new Twin Chop+ option is so good, knife rollers can still run slow for maximum yield retention. Delivers continuous chopping of stalks as they travel back and down through the entire length of the knife roller.

Balanced Benefits with Ease of Maintenance
Drago’s “Yield First” design provides an optimum balance of maximized harvesting and quality chopping in both optimal and tough conditions. Chopper maintenance is quite simple. Drago knives have a tungsten carbide edge and are easily reversed.
Counter-Cuts for More Than Just Length
The Twin Chop+ advantage can be seen in its counter-blade rotations — sizing and splintering stalks from one blade to another, delivering faster and more complete breakdown after harvest.
Double the Chop Without Doubling the Horsepower
Twin Chop+ features a highly efficient single gearbox design that delivers power straight forward — no 90-degree bevel gears after power is delivered to the gearbox.
Single Chop for Flexible Needs
Drago GT offers a single chop option for standard sizing. Plus, an on-and-off engagement lever that provides field-to-field residue management flexibility.

Controlled Up-Front Chopping
The Drago GT chopping systems are designed to deliver the chop quality you want and still retain yield. Unlike other brands, Drago chopping blades are placed just behind the knife rollers so they don’t strike the plant until it is under control from the pinch received from the rollers. This is crucial so that no matter what conditions you face – from leaning to down corn – yield is not sacrificed.
